Following the recent success of their last campaign watching the outcome of two major football teams battle it out for the premiership title, I put my shirt on it are now off to Europe for the European Championships 2012!
Henshaws has been selected to be the charity partner in a new fundraising intiative “I put my shirt on it” launched earlier this year, and it all started as friendly banter between football fans.
Manchester based entrepreneur James Lindemann and founder of “I put my shirt on it” developed the idea when having a chat with fellow football fans on Facebook, ”It all began when we started chatting about who we thought was going to win the Premier League, one of my friends said “Man City will win the Premier League, and I’ll put my shirt on it.” and another said, “No they won’t; Man United will, and I’ll put my shirt on it.” It was here on in that the idea grew to today’s vision; a company dedicated to bringing an extra element to sporting and non-sporting events, making money for worthy causes along the way.”
In succession to their previous campaign – following the football premiership with Manchester United and Manchester City battling it out for the title, I put my shirt on it’s next campaign is following England and Ireland to the Europeans Championship this summer.
If you are willing to put your shirt on your team, then head to the website “I put my shirt on it” and buy a t-shirt for just £10 plus postage, simple as that. All funds raised will be split evenly between their chosen charity partners – Henshaws, School under the tree, Claire House Children’s Hospice, Hearts & Minds Challenge, Irish Autism Action and MG-Myasthenia Gravis Association.
